Catherine Kane

President

Catherine Kane (Cathy) has earned the reputation as a seasoned leader in the legal space. Throughout the span of over three decades, she has garnered extensive expertise in the industry. In 2021, Cathy joined Tate & Tate, Inc., a nationwide court reporting, videography and litigation support company that has served the legal community since 1978.

She has a longstanding and distinguished career as a hands-on professional with a major emphasis to detail and superior customer service. She has efficiently monitored multiple litigation projects concurrently utilizing comprehensive project management skills including large-scale case management in both the Discovery and Trial phases.

Working with various esteemed national and international law firms both big and small, Cathy is well-versed in assisting clients with their cases by helping them effectively tell their story to the jury, cohesively explaining the case information, and graphically piecing it all together. In addition, she is adept in logistics, planning, and strategic implementation of the services for discovery and trial.

Among her extensive skill sets, Cathy has successfully managed and collaborated on technical and multi-district cases, including pharmaceutical, intellectual property, transportation, securities, construction and environmental cases.

She has consulted, supported and case managed E-Discovery projects, large document projects and trials both in Federal and State court, and has worked extensively with clients on trial transcription projects. Cathy has also been instrumental in educating attorneys, paralegals and office staff on how to litigate remotely both in trial and in the deposition process.

Cathy is an AOC Certified Transcriptionist/Manager for the State of New Jersey She is also a Certified LiveNote Trainer and NCRA Realtime Systems Administrator. Cathy serves as President of the New Jersey Legal Industry Providers – member-based professional association consisting of businesses that provide a wide array of products and services to the legal community. She also is membership chair of the South Jersey Paralegal Association.

Teresa Spellman

Teresa Spellman (Teri) has over 25 years’ experience in the court reporting field. Teri is a hands-on manager who oversees the day-to-day operations at Tate & Tate, Inc. She juggles the calendar, production, and remote proceedings and always answers the phone with a smile. She is a team player and an expert resource in both in-person and remote depositions.

When it comes to superior customer service, Teri covers it all. From answering emails and phone calls, she immediately responds and quickly gets an answer back to the clients in minutes. She is an asset to the Tate team and vital part of the growth of Tate & Tate’s technology and new services.

Tina Tate

Founder

Tina Tate, along with her husband, Bob Tate, opened their doors for business on May 1st, 1978.

Throughout that time, Tate & Tate has been a recognized leader of quality court reporting and litigation support services in the Delaware Valley area and beyond, providing services nationwide and abroad for their clients.

As the overseer of several large Multi District Litigation cases in the pharmaceutical arena, involving both Fen-Phen and PPA, Tina managed hundreds of expert videotaped depositions around the country and in Europe, working closely with Plaintiffs’ Management Committees in both Philadelphia and Boston. Tate & Tate also has covered many construction defect cases for both plaintiffs and defendants, organizing thousands of pages of exhibits and coordinating several document productions.

No matter the size of the case, Tina has been there for her clients throughout every aspect of their discovery process and has established a protocol of providing the highest quality professional services with a personal touch.

Tina has embraced the technology that has been developed over the years, including an online transcript and exhibit repository, an offering initiated in 2006 and a feature on which clients continue to rely.

Tina has been active in the New Jersey Certified Court Reporters Association for many years, serving as both Director of Freelance Court Reporters and Secretary. Tina is currently serving as a Trustee for the Camden County Bar Foundation.
